NEW DELHI: It’s been over the last decade or so that a number of star kids have debuted in Bollywood but not all of them treaded the path of success.
While almost each one of them has made a grand entry as the main lead, Paresh Rawal’s son Aniruddh Rawal perhaps opted for a far difficult and hardworking route. The young lad was the assistant director in Salman Khan’s blockbuster, ‘Sultan’, which was produced by Yash Raj Films.
In a recent interview, Paresh’s wife, actress Swaroop Sampat said that both, her and Paresh, want their son to learn things from scratch. She also revealed that Aniruddh was being mentored by Naseeruddin Shah.
Swaroop, who will be seen in R Balki’s “Ki and Ka”, is happy that her son is getting a humble start.
“We are happy that he is learning things from scratch. Both our sons Aniruddh and Aditya have interest in acting,” Swaroop said.
His another son, Aditya has ventured into Broadway with a play that he has written ‘ ‘The Queen’. Both Paresh and his wife Swaroop Sampat are passionate about theatre and Aditya is following in their footsteps.
His first production is set in 16th century India when the Mughal rule was in its full glory. It traces the story of Durga, whose life changes after her husband, a Rajput king, marries a younger woman. His writing is inspired by William Shakespeare’s Macbeth and the works of Rabindranath Tagore.
Recently Paresh Rawal and his wife Swaroop came together for a song, Saamne aa, for the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign.
Saamne aa was written and directed by social storyteller Reeta Gupta, and sung by Sona Mohapatra. Composed by Siddharth Sharma, it will release on August 2.
This was the first song the actors have shot for together as the lead.
They worked together in the 1984 film Lorie, which starred Shabana Azmi, Farooq Shaikh and Naseeruddin Shah.
