World Smile Day was first celebrated in 1999 after which the day is marked on the first Friday of October every year.
In 1963, American commercial artist Harvey Ball designed the first “smiley” which became the worldwide symbol for smile.
The aim of the day is to forget about your problems and share the grief of others. So we should keep smiling and be happy.
