LAHORE: Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid on Wednesday ordered a province-wide crackdown against quacks and illegal dentist, ARY News reported.
Addressing the first International Dental Conference at University of Health Sciences, Dr. Yasmin Rashid termed research vital for health sector.
According to a statement, she said, “The provincial government has taken historical initiatives to bring real change in government hospitals of Punjab.
The minister further said that the previous government had only increased its assets and had not completed any developmental project.
She also appreciated administration to arrange such conference. Addressing the conference, Dr. Sarah appreciated Minister Health Dr. Yasmin Rashid and Punjab government for enhancing health budget.

Earlier on June 9, the Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) had said that as many as 2,000 clinics of quacks and over 1,000 illegal laboratories had been sealed during a province-wide anti-quackery drive.
A PHC spokesperson had said that the laboratories had been sealed in different cities over violation of rules and appointment of untrained officials.
