Youm e Ali (RA): Sindh bans pillion-riding for three days

The Home Department notified the ban on Thursday after which pillion-riding in Karachi, Hyderabad and Sukkur will be prohibited from 12 am tonight to 12 am June 28.

The decision was made upon the request of Police Department in view of security concerns on Youm e Ali (RA).

The notification however read that journalists, elderly citizens, women, disabled masses and boys aged less than 12 years will be exempted from it.

Muslims across the world observe Youm e Ali on the 21st of Ramazan each year marking the martyrdom of fourth Caliph Hazrat Ali (RA).
