Yousaf Baig Mirza appointed as second special assistant to PM on media

ISLAMABAD: Yousaf Baig Mirza has been appointed as Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Media Affairs, a notification issued on Tuesday read.

According to details, the Cabinet Division issued the notification after the prime minister granted approval of the media veteran’s appointment.

The notification stipulated that Yousaf Baig Mirza’s appointment as PM’s special assistant on media is in an honorary capacity.

In his career, Yousaf has served as the managing director of Pakistan Television (PTV) three times under three different regimes. His tenure at PTV is deemed as the most promising period in the State channel’s history that produced rewarding results owing to Yousaf’s dynamic leadership.

Yousaf has also launched several TV channels.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf senior leader Iftikhar Durrani is also PM’s Special Assistant on Media.
