YRF announces female lead for Salman Khan's Sultan

“The most eagerly awaited announcement of 2016 is here! Anushka Sharma will star opposite Salman Khan in Yash Raj Films’ Sultan”, the production company announced.
Anushka Sharma tweeted a picture of herself along with Salman Khan on her Twitter account.

It was earlier being reported that Katrina Kaif was to be casted opposite Salman for the upcoming movie.
This will be the third time Anushka Sharma will be seen opposite a Khan. She worked with Shah Rukh Khan for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Jab Tak Hai Jaan. The actress starred opposite Aamir Khan for PK.
