Zardari demands punishment for elements behind leaked story

ISLAMABAD: Former president of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has said that strict action must be taken against those who leaked the news story regarding national security, ARY News reported.

Zardari made the statement while meeting ex-interior minister Rehman Malik.

He said that there should be no compromise on the national security.  He added that the country has to be taken out from the prevailing crisis.

In the meeting, the former interior minister briefed the president on the prevailing political situation of the country. They both expressed concern on the deteriorating situation.

They strongly condemned the attacks on Quetta police training academy and the majlis in Karachi.

It should be noted that 62 police officers were killed in the attack on Quetta police training centre whereas at least five people were killed when terrorists opened fire at a majlis at Karachi’s Nazimabad area.

The ex-president said that indiscriminate action should be taken against the elements responsible for the terrorist attacks.
