Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards call off engagement

When they were dating, the world thought that Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards were going to be a fairytale couple. However, a leading website earlier stated that arguably the most popular celebrity couple had broken up. Perrie Edwards confirmed the split in an interview with E! news.

Here’s what a source revealed how Edwards was devastated following her split with Zayn Malik.

A source confirmed the news to the Mail Online, saying: “Perrie is absolutely devastated. Zayn called off the engagement two weeks ago, she’s so upset.

“Perrie is being a trooper about it and putting on a brave face but she’s devastated. She’s doesn’t know what he’s thinking. She’s going to go out and promote the new single but obviously the timing could not be worse, especially when she’s going to be doing so many interviews.”

Perrie Edwards is a renowned singer herself and is part of the all-girl pop group Little Mix comprising of Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock. With her band-mates at her side, Perrie Edwards faced the inevitable question whilst she was being interviewed. When the interviewer asked Perrie how she was doing following the break-up, this is what she said:-

“I’m good, thank you,” Perrie replied, whilst she tried to act normal, maintained her professional cool. It was quickly then that her fellow band-mate Leigh-Anne quickly interjected, saying, “Yeah, we don’t really want to talk about it,” before Jesy jokingly quipped, “Yeah, we’re here to get our nails done.”

Just days before Malik quit the band, his relationship was rocked by a cheating scandal after pictures emerged of him holding hands with holidaymaker Lauren Richardson in Thailand.
