2013 – ARY FILMS rules the roost in Pakistani Cinema

Year 2013 has given a major boost to Pakistani cinema. The credit of producing great films in the calendar year goes to ARY Group.

Thirty five films were released in Pakistan  including 11 urdu, 6 Punjabi and 17 Pashto films.

Waar, joint production of ARY Films and Mandviwalla Entertainment, was the most successful film to be released in the year 2013. The film has also been released in foreign countries and earned millions.

Josh, another patriotic film, was released this year. Main Hoon Shahid Afridi was also released in the country and received positive feeeback. Chambeli also managed to draw crowds as it was released on the perk of the General Elections.

Zinda Bhaag, which starred renowned Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah, was also well received by the audience. Film Lamha won two awards at New York City International Film Festival. A horror film Siyaah was released this year with latest and good camerawork.

Cinema can be a good way to promote country’s image as it promotes the overall image of the country.  Lollywood is improving the quality of films that its making–not only in terms of content such as script and plot but also in terms of production, direction and music. And, flicking through the box office collections, it seems the Pakistani audience around the world is lapping it all up.Pakistanis seem to find new Pakistani movie fascinating. 

Film producers in Pakistan are trying to revive the Lollywood industry as new and more technologically advance films are on the verge of production. ARY Films and Mindworks Media have agreed to produce Waar-2 whereas Jalebi will also be released by ARY Films and Redrum Films in 2014 and is shot via ARRI Alexa HD cameras.

ARY Films has received worldwide appreciatiom for creating a milestone in reviving Pakistani Cinema.  ARY IS hoping to give viewers a holistic cinema experience in Pakistan through producing more movies. Since It managed to hit the bull's eye with its movie WAAR now the fans are looking forward for WAAR-2 which is set to be released next.
