ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Foreign Affairs has appointed Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry as the new Foreign Secretary of Pakistan on Wednesday – ARY News reports.
According to the Foreign Office (FO) of Pakistan, Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry was named as the new Foreign Secretary upon the advice of the Prime Minister, Mian Nawaz Sharif.
The post of Foreign Secretary of Pakistan was vacant, after the appointment of Jalil Abbas Jillani as Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States (US) of America.
Earlier to this, Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry had been serving as the Spokesperson of the Foreign Office of Pakistan.
A notification of his appointment has also been issued.
