Breach in dyke near Rojhan submerges various villages

In continuation of destructions causes by the floods, several crops were destroyed and villages submerged in Rojhan villages

Similarly villages in Ghotki and Ubaro also inundated when torrent of floods entered the districts of Sindh. Large number of people started to move from flood-hit areas due to lack of arrangements by the government to contain floods-related losses.

Meanwhile, PPP patron-in-chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reached Lahore and visited various flood-affected areas. He said the PPP stood by the victims in this need of the hour.

Earlier in the day, moderate-level flood water entered Guddu Barrage, with influx recorded at over 2,70,000 cusecs in the barrage.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah had said on Wednesday during his visit to Sukkur said barrages on River Indus were stable and the flow of water would pass away easily through these barrages.

Similarly, torrent of flood water wreaked havoc in Kashmore. Residents living along makeshift settlements in Kashmore, Kandhkot, Shikarpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Khairpur, Naushero Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad and other districts along River Indus have been asked to shift to safer places.
