Explosives found from madressah run by Maulana Abdul Aziz

RAJANPUR: Explosives were found from a seminary (madressah) in Rajanpur during a police raid on Tuesday, ARY News reported.

The law enforcers said the madressah was run by Lal Masjid (Lal Mosque) cleric Maulana Abdul Aziz.

Police detained the custodian of the seminary – named Abdullah – and registered a case against him.

Police launched a raid in the seminary on a tip-off regarding suspicious activities.

It may be noted here that large number of civil society members staged a protest demonstration against Maulana Aziz outside Lal Masjid for cleric’s refusal to condemn the Taliban attack on Peshawar that claimed lives of at least 132 children.

In addition, Mutahidda Qaumi Movement has also got registered a FIR in Karachi against Maulana Aziz for his life threats to MQM chief Altaf Hussain through a video message.
