Facebook goes down second time in a week

One billion active users found themselves helpless as the site went down and reacted to the outage on other networking sites.

“Sorry, something went wrong,” read a message, as users tried logging in. “We’re working on it and we’ll get it fixed as soon as we can.”

The site also went down on Sep 24, however restored after a brief period.

Meanwhile, the hashtag #facebookdown trended worldwide on top on Twitter.
