Flood threat looms over Sindh , says Rizvi

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Haider Abbas Rizvi has said that Sindh is facing a grave flood threat, ARY News reports on Wednesday.

Haider Abbas Rizvi, addressing different student organizations in Karachi University, said that Pakistan needed to build more dams to store water for the need of the country.

It should be noted that the floods are heading towards Sindh after wreaking havoc in Punjab. More than 200 people have been killed and hundreds of thousands of citizens have been displaced in the province as of yet.

MQM leader, commenting on the ongoing political situation in the country, said that his party made all possible efforts to end the political crisis in the country but no breakthrough was achieved.

“Such an atmosphere is not good for democracy in Pakistan”, he added.
