Nawaz Sharif, addressing Balochistan Development Forum here on Monday (today), said the Balochistan’s development is dear to him. He added that Gwadar will bring foreign investment in the country when it will become the hub of trade and energy.
The prime minister said that a power plant with 300 megawatt capacity will also be constructed at the seaport.
“Rs four billion will be spent on the construction of houses for the people affected by the Awaran earthquake”, he said.
Sharif said that Gwadar is rich with natural resources.
He also said that the issue related with Reko Diq gold and copper deposits will soon be resolved.
Nawaz said that the centre has granted 100 per cent development funds to the Balochistan government.
“Balochistan will be linked with other parts of the country with construction of new roads”, he added
He lauded the role of the provincial government in the formation of grass-root level government.
The prime minister added that Pakistani lands will not allowed to be used against the country.
PM Sharif vowed that Balochistan Development Forum will launch more projects in the future.
