KARACHI: Sindh Assembly member Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan has said that the increase in the bank dacoities is a major concern, ARY News reports.
Addressing Sindh Assembly, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) MPA Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan said that the robbers broke the lockers of a private bank at Nishtar Road and fled away with the life long earnings of the people. He added that neither the government nor the bank took any action despite the news of the burglary was aired on the media.
He further said that the security guards are mostly involved in such kinds of crime. He inquired that why no action is taken against private security company who recruit guards without any verification.
MQM MPA further stated that the provincial government and the bank should compensate the people who lost their earnings in the looting.
Sharjeel Memon, Information Minister of Sindh, said that the Sindh Government cannot compensate the people for the loss in the incident. He added that they will try to provide compensation through the banking laws.
