Karachi Se Lahore‘s trailer was just released which caused quite a stir among the public. For one, we have had quite a dew Pakistani movies that have released this year (some are slated for the later part of the year).
Karachi Se Lahore promises to be a fun filled, hilarious film that provides the masses with comic relief. Boasting mostly young talent and a Lollywood stalwart in the form of Javed Sheikh, Karachi Se Lahore’s cast also includes Rashid Naaz, Ayesha Omar Eshita Syed and Shehzad Sheikh. From hilarious scenes that showcase two neighbors unhappy with each other or a girlfriend dumping her boyfriend to marry another, this movie is packed with funny punchlines and interesting characters. Earlier, controversy had erupted when the film’s item song had been uploaded and then subsequently taken down. Hamza Ali Abbasi, just yesterday congratulated the crew for producing a marvelous trailer but also did not hesitate to criticize item songs, opining that the Pakistani film industry should keep away from them. Whilst the trailer of the movie does seem promising with its blend of comedy and good acting, let’s hope people get their money’s worth. The script is penned by renowned actor who starred in Aanghan Terrha and Sawa 14 August. With hopes pinned on Karachi se Lahore‘s crew as well as our fingers crossed, all we can do is expect something big come July 31!
