Karachi Kings launch event spreads joy and happiness throughout Karachi

Governor Sindh astounds all with national anthem performance

Governor Sindh Ishratul Ibad mesmerised everyone with his stellar skills as he played the tunes of the national anthem on a guitar expertly. Needless to say, for those in attendance, it was music to the ears.

Karachi always stands tall: Waseem Akhtar

Nominated mayor of Karachi Mr. Waseem Akhtar also took the stage and spoke in favour of Karachi Kings. Waseem Akhtar lauded the passion as well as excitement of the Karachiites.

“Well done Karachiites,” he exclaimed. “Whatever may be the circumstances, Karachi always stands tall.”

Waseem also said that he hoped one day to see international cricket once again return to the city.

Karachi Kings owner Salman Iqbal’s speech

Karachi Kings owner and ARY Digital Network’s Founder and CEO Salman Iqbal addressed Karachiites gathered at the venue for a few minutes. He expressed his excitement for the launch event and thanked citizens for their patience and passion.

Talking about Karachi Kings, he said:-

“Shoaib Malik is the captain of Karachi Kings but I want to say that each and everyone of you is also the captain of our team.”

Salman Iqbal also said that other leagues such as the Big Bash League, IPL and BPL did not conduct such a huge launch. Yet this was just the launch of a single team and Pakistanis had made the event so spectacular. After thanking those in attendance, Salman Iqbal thanked Governor Sindh Ishratul Ibad, DG Rangers Major General Bilal Akbar and nominated Karachi Mayor Wasim Akhtar for their support.

Karachi Kings owner Salman Iqbal also thanked fans for their patience.
“The credit for today’s success also goes to these people who have been sitting patiently since 4 pm for today’s event to begin. More than twenty-five thousand people and families have gathered here for the launch.”

Pakistan’s renowned rock music legend Ali Azmat had fans thoroughly entertained when he performed Karachi Kings’ anthem live in front of the jam-packed National Stadium. Needless to say, fans were delighted to hear the new song and couldn’t keep from cheering and clapping throughout the performance.

 Chacha cricket shows his support for Karachi Kings

‘Chacha Cricket’ as he is known throughout Pakistan, showed up today at Karachi Kings launch event and announced his support for Karachi Kings. Chacha Cricket said that he was thankful to Karachi Kings owner Salman Iqbal for the love and support he had shown for him.

” I have arrived today via train to Karachi and I am pleased to say that I am very excited for this event,” he said. “ARY group has always supported me in waving Pakistan’s national flag around the world.

Karachi Kings launch event trends on Twitter

For those in attendance at the National Stadium, it’s set to be a night filled with excitement and energy. With prominent musicians and huge cricket stars lined up to meet thousands of fans, the Karachi Kings launch event is all set to be mind blowing. Pakistani Twitterati started trending #NationalStadium on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Even Pakistani cricketer and Karachi Kings’ own Shoaib Malik couldn’t help but tweet with excitement regarding the launch event.

Much hype had been created about the launch a couple of days back.   

Passes for the event were in great demand and people were thronging their nearest KFC outlets to try and get a hold of them. The event was be hosted by Fahad Mustafa, Waseem Badami and Iqrar-ul-Hassan.
