Pakistan, India DGMOs discuss LoC tensions over hotline

RAWALPINDI: Director Generals of Military Operation (DGMOs) of Pakistan and India discussed the ongoing tensions at Line of Control and Working Boundary in a telephone hotline contact on Tuesday, ARY News reports.

According to security sources, the two DGMOs discussed the hostilities at the LoC and Working Boundary. Officials have stated that DGMO of Pakistan Army expressed his concerns over India’s consistent ceasefire violation.

It should be noted that more than a dozen innocent Pakistani civilians including women and children have been killed due to the cross border firing carried out by Indian forces.

According to military sources, the talks between the DGMOs were routine weekly contact between the two militaries.

Earlier, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had said that the tensions between the two neighboring countries can only be resolved through dialogue and negotiations.
