Sindh Police, UN Pakistan chapter hold rally on Women's Day

KARACHI: Sindh Police and the United Nations (UN) Pakistan chapter organized a rally at Seaview on Sunday with respect to International Women’s Day, ARY News reported.

IG Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali, Additional IG Karachi Ghulam Qadir Thebo, former CCPO Niaz Ahmed Siddiqui, MQM MNA Irum Azeem Farooqui and a large number of people participated in the rally which started from Seaview McDonald’s and concluded at Carnish Point.

The IG Sindh, Ghulam Haider Jamali on the occasion vowed to protect women in Sindh against all sorts of atrocities they are subjected to.

He told that the Sindh Police is determined to protect rights of women and it will make all possible efforts to prevent atrocities against them including domestic violence.

Jamali further told that 1500 women are being recruited in the Sindh Police.

The participants of the rally were carrying banners and placards, which demonstrated slogans in favor of women in society.
