Aniqa – student of 7th grade and a resident of Shad Bagh – was found dead near Mayo Hospital Lahore a few days ago, following which police had kicked off investigations into the blind murder.
The CCTV footage obtained from hospital and nearby shops was sent to forensic lab as a result of which a suspect was identified.
The father and brother of the deceased girl are currently into custody and being further interrogated.
Sources said that the ill-fated girl was subjected to brutal torture after failing to make proper Roti (bread).
The suspects reportedly surrendered to police after the murder.
