Somi Ali

Former Bollywood actress Somi Ali doesnt shy away from sharing the worst ever ordeal concerning physical abuse she experienced. She spoke about being sexually assaulted by a house-help at the tender age of five. The former girlfriend of Salman Khan spoke about being molested as a child, reported Times of India.

In one interview, Somi said she also shared her personal experience with the students during interactions at US varsities to encourage them and stop them from feeling ashamed.

Kalki Koechlin

Bollywood celebrity Kalki Koechlin shocked everyone when she opened up about her gloomy experience as a child. In an interview to news channel, NDTV, Kalki revealed that she was sexually abused as a child.

She however added that she didn’t want to declare to the world about this specific event in her life as it just becomes a “shocking headline” but somebody “who has gone through CSA (child sexual abuse) is not a headline.” She also said, “For me, it’s not a one day headline, it’s something that’s a reality I have lived with for a long time.”

Sophia Hayat

Sophia Hayat also had a rather gloomy childhood. The actress had gone on record to talk about being sexually abused as a child. The British born actress revealed that she was only 10-years-old when her uncle had sexually abused her.

Sophia had candidly spoken about the dark and disturbing childhood where she was sexually abused by her own relative. She was last seen on the reality show Bigg Boss.

Anoushka Shankar

Sitar player Anoushka Shankar was also sexually abused as a child. Shankar had admitted to being a victim of sexual abuse as a child.

At the release of a video for global women’s rights campaign, legendary sitar player Ravi Shankar’s daughter confessed about her dark childhood.

Ashley Judd

American TV actress, Ashley Judd too was a victim of sexual abuse as a child. One of the highest-paid actresses of Hollywood, Ashley Judd was brutally raped several times during her childhood and youth.

In her memoirs, ‘The Normal Life’, the actress opened up about how she was sexually assaulted by a stranger.

Lady Gaga

Pop singer Lady Gaga has revealed that she was sexually assaulted at the age of 19. According to a report on ANI, the songwriter told Howard Stern on his radio show that her song ‘Swine’ is about rape and demoralisation. She also revealed that she went through some horrific things that she is able to laugh at now because of the various therapy sessions she underwent over the years. She also asserts that music has helped her cope up with the situation.

Kesha

In 2014, Kesha sued producer Dr. Luke, seeking to void all their contracts because of how, the suit claimed, Dr. Luke “sexually, physically, verbally, and emotionally abused [Kesha] to the point where [she] nearly lost her life.”

Anurag Kashyap

Anurag Kashyap has also been a victim of the same as a child. Anurag confessed that he was sexually abused for 11 years long years continuously when he was a kid. In an interview sometime back, the prolific filmmaker said that he had forgiven the man who abused him.

He said, “I met him after many years. He wasn’t some dirty old man. He was 22 when he abused me. He was guilt-ridden when we met. I decided to put the whole nightmare behind me and move on.
