Mohsin Mushtaq: Pakistan-origin man’s body waiting for claimants for more than a month in Toronto

TORONTO: In what can be termed a heartbreaking story, a Pakistan-origin man’s dead body is lying in a Toronto morgue for over a month waiting for his family members or relatives to claim.

Originally from Pakistan, Mohsin Mushtaq aka Elly Brown worked as a photographer with a number of event organizers but since his death on September 15, his body is lying in a mortuary with no one to claim and perform his last rites.

Sources told media that Mohsin Mushtaq sought asylum in Canada but his bid was rejected and he was worried about his legal status as an immigrant.

Pakistani community in Toronto is on the lookout for his family members or relatives so that his body be either repatriated or he be laid to rest.
