The court ordered for selling out the property of Mir Shakil while hearing a case pertaining to the blasphemy of Ahle Bait (RA) during a program aired on Geo Tv a few months ago.
The court in its verdict directed the Karachi and Lahore Police to stand guard over the property of Geo/Jang group owner and asked the concerned authorities to auction it.
Earlier, a Gilgit-Baltistan court had sentenced Mir Shakil to 26 years of imprisonment; however the powerful media tycoon had managed to flee the country under alleged state patronage prior to his arrest.
