Former all-rounder Abdul Razzaq has been awarded honoray life membership of MCC on his tremendous performance to win the ICC Twenty20 World Cup at Lord’s in 2009.

Honorary life membership is awarded to some of the finest cricketers and men and women associated with the game, and his inclusion makes it four players from Pakistan to be awarded Honorary Life Membership within the past 12 months, following Misbah-ul-Haq, Shahid Afridi and Younis Khan, who were all awarded the same honour in 2017.

Razzaq was once rapid enough to open the bowling and remains composed enough to bat anywhere. His bowling – the reason he was first noticed – is characterized by a galloping approach, accuracy, and reverse-swing. But it is his batting that is more likely to win matches.

Former all-rounder retired from all forms of cricket in 2016, having hit 7,419 runs and taken 389 wickets across all formats for his country.
