Indiscriminate actions to continue against corrupt people: NAB chairman

PESHAWAR: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (r) Javed Iqbal on Thursday vowed to continue across the board actions to root out corruption from the country, ARY News reported.

Chairing a meeting at the NAB Peshawar office to review so far progress made on the mega graft cases, the chairman NAB said, “Mega corruption cases will be brought to their logical end.”

Mr Iqbal said the bureau was striving hard for corruption free Pakistan and to achieve this goal indiscriminate actions were underway countrywide.

He underlined the need to eliminate menace of corruption for the uplift of the country.

Lauding the role of NAB KPK, he said the anti-graft watchdog body has recovered Rs 303million and despite the same into the government’s kitty.

On March 7, Javed Iqbal had vowed to bring back home “all the plunderers of national wealth” who had ‘fled abroad’.

He had said that they would bring all the looters and plunderers of public funds to justice. The NAB chairman had termed corruption a major hurdle in country’s progress and development.

He had said that the NAB realized its responsibility and added that the watchdog actively playing its role in making Pakistan a corruption free state.
