Actor Asad Malik granted bail after being arrested for carrying weapon

LAHORE: A local court here on Tuesday approved bail for renowned actor Asad Malik who was arrested a day earlier for carrying an automatic weapon with an expired licence. 

The Airport Security Force (ASF) arrested the actor at the Allama Iqbal International Airport after an automatic firearm with an expired licence was recovered from his possession. He was handed over to the police after the arrest.

Today, Asad Malik was produced before Judicial Magistrate Shehbaz Hassan Rana who heard arguments on his bail plea.

After hearing arguments, the court approved bail for the actor against a surety bond of RS50, 000.

It should be noted that Asad Malik had earlier served a jail term in a case pertaining to the murder of two people, sources said. They said he had killed two people in Karachi by opening fire at a passenger bus.

The celebrity has often been seen flaunting his firearms in social media posts. He has worked in over a dozens of dramas.
