Adnan Siddiqui has shared his thoughts on the years-long comparisons between ARY Digital’s reality show Tamasha and India’s popular reality series Bigg Boss, hosted by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
Speaking during a recent interview, Siddiqui, who serves as “Badshah Salamat” – the host and supreme ruler of the Tamasha house – acknowledged that Bigg Boss is a bigger and more established production. However, he stressed that this does not mean Tamasha should be dismissed or considered an inferior show.
According to Siddiqui, the scale of Bigg Boss is naturally much larger, given India’s bigger entertainment industry, production teams and budgets. Despite the difference in resources, he said Tamasha has managed to establish itself as a strong competitor.
“Bigg Boss is better and bigger than Tamasha, but you can’t say that Tamasha is not good. There’s only an 18–20 difference,” Siddiqui said.
He further highlighted the achievement of producing a successful reality show with comparatively limited resources.
“With a limited budget, we have managed to make such a big show. It is a big deal,” he added.
Adnan Siddiqui also opened up about the contestants of ‘Tamasha’, emphasizing that what unfolds inside the house is completely real and neither planted nor scripted.
He added that while every new season initially draws comparisons with the previous one, the new contestants and their dynamics gradually grow on the audience as the season progresses.
Tamasha Season 5 is currently airing on ARY Digital.
