ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Monday signing of agreements between Pakistan and China during the ongoing visit of Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan is a proof of flourishing economic ties between the two countries.
She said in a tweet that these agreements reflect China’s strategic interest in the progress and prosperity of the people of Pakistan.

In another tweet, Ms Awan said national interest and public welfare are being given preference in Pakistan’s agreements with other countries under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan while personal interest and business remained priority in the past.

Yesterday, Pakistan and China had signed several memorandums of understanding (MoUs) to deepen bilateral cooperation in multiple spheres.
The signing ceremony was held in Islamabad which was attended by Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chinese Vice Prime Minister Wang Qishan.
These MoUs include cooperation in economic and technical affairs, disaster management and assistance in agriculture sector of Lasbella University.
Later, PM Imran Khan along with the visiting dignitary unveiled the plaques of the four mega development projects in the fields of energy, technology and education under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
