Air India pilot let woman friend into cockpit on flight

An Indian airline pilot was accused of breaching safety norms by inviting a female friend into the cockpit during a Dubai-Delhi flight on February 27.

According to the details, a member of the cabin crew has filed a complaint with the aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) India, accusing the Air India pilot has breached safety norms by inviting a female friend into the cockpit during a Dubai-Delhi flight on February 27.

The captain asked the crew to make the cockpit welcoming before inviting his friend and requesting to serve food from business class.

Air India has confirmed that it received the complaint on March 3 and has established a committee to investigate the matter.

An airline official stated that they are taking the issue seriously and will take appropriate action based on the committee’s findings.
