Aishwarya Rai made her most stunning appearance at the Cannes Film Festival 2026.
In the recent update, Bollywood superstar Aishwarya Rai Bachan made her most-awaited entry at the Cannes Film Festival 2026. She walked on the red carpet wearing a sculpted blue gown with a mermaid finish designed by Amit Aggarwal, who made his Cannes debut this year. She completed her look with a sheen dupatta. She, as always, chose a traditional attire to turn heads at the global event.
The gown used Amit’s special embroidery style called Crystal Vein embroidery. Thousands of crystal decorations were carefully crafted by hand over 1500 hours to create glowing, vein-like patterns across the dress. Amit also shared his vision as he collaborated with stylist Mohit Rai and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Rai further noted, “Aishwarya has always approached Cannes with a strong sense of individuality and evolution. With Luminara, Mohit, and I wanted to create something that felt less like a garment and more like an energy field around her.
Wearing the ‘Luminara’ gown, Aishwarya stepped on the red carpet, and paparazzi refused to stop clicking her for a single moment. The Bollywood diva was seen blowing kisses to the crowd, making heart signs, and also greeting everyone with a namaste. She was seen spending some time with her close friend, Eva Longoria, on the red carpet. Fans are left in a frenzy as Aishwarya graced the 79th Cannes Film Festival.
A fourth user wrote, “The Aishwarya Rai is Aishwarya Rai. No one is even closer to her; she is a beauty queen, the Miss World, and the real queen of Cannes. Her presence brings magic and energy to the event; she is the only one who, through her presence, makes Cannes complete.”
Another comment can be read as, “From crowning moment as Miss World to her historic reign on the Croisette, Aishwarya Rai’s decades-long journey remains the ultimate standard for global elegance and star power.”
Over the last two decades, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s appearance has made a special place in global red-carpet fashion. She made her Cannes debut in 2002, and people still adore her traditional look.
