Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has been hospitalized after testing positive for coronavirus earlier on Sunday, Apr. 4, reported Hindustan Times.
The news was shared by Kumar himself on his official Twitter account a day after he shared that he had contracted COVID.
“Thank you, everyone, for all your warm wishes and prayers, they seem to be working, I am doing fine, but as a precautionary measure under medical advice, I have been hospitalized,” he tweeted on Monday.

Kumar is the latest in a string of Bollywood and local stars falling prey to the third wave of the global pandemic. Bollywood stars Vicky Kaushal, Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar, and Govinda have all tested positive in the last week.
