ISLAMABAD: The testimonies of all prosecution witnesses in Al-Azizia reference against the Sharif family completed on Friday with the statement of investigation officer Mehboob Alam.
Accountability Judge Arshad Malik was presiding over the court proceeding of graft references against former premier Nawaz Sharif and his family in Islamabad.
The court started recording of the statement of investigation officer Mehboob Alam a day earlier, which was concluded in the hearing today. The accountability court has now directed the investigation officer to appear before it on Tuesday for the cross examination by the defence counsel.
The ousted prime minister was granted exemption from appearance today.
National Accountability Bureau (NAB) presented a total of 22 witnesses before the accountability court in Al-Azizia corruption reference.
The court announced to adjourn Al-Azizia case hearing until Monday and further summoned prosecution’s key witness Wajid Zia, Joint Investigation Team (JIT) head, on Monday in order to record his statement in the Flagship Investment reference.
