Al Pacino has 'forever regret' of not marrying ex Diane Keaton

Hollywood legend Al Pacino reportedly has a ‘forever regret’ of not marrying the ‘love of his life’, Diane Keaton, despite their decades-long relationship.

A day after Oscar-winning actor Diane Keaton breathed her last on Saturday, aged 79, a source close to her ex-beau and ‘The Godfather’ trilogy co-star, Al Pacino, revealed that the veteran actor has expressed regret on not marrying her when their on-again off-again relationship ended after nearly two decades, in 1990.

“I know he will forever regret he didn’t make his move when he had the chance,” the insider told a foreign publication.

“For years after he and Diane split, Al used to say, ‘If it’s meant to be, it’s never too late for a do-over.’ But sadly, now it is. Looking back, Al admits the love of his life was Diane, whom he’s always called ‘an amazing woman,'” the source added.

The person divulged that Keaton and Pacino never spoke in the following years, despite living close in Beverly Hills. “I once asked him why, and he told me, ‘There’s no need to talk with each other. We said everything that needed to be said at the time,’” they recalled.

It is worth noting here that both Al Pacino and Diane Keaton parted ways because he reportedly refused to commit to the marriage, and neither of them married anyone in their life.

Pacino is a father to four kids, whom he shares with Jan Tarrant, Beverly D’Angelo and Noor Alfallah, whereas Keaton adopted both her children, a daughter and a son.
