LAHORE: An expensive wrist watch of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Punjab’s former minister Aleem Khan worth Rupees 15million goes missing from Kot Lakhpat Jail, citing sources, ARY News reported on Tuesday.

Aleem Khan’s watch was reportedly stolen from the jail, where he is kept on remand for the probe in assets beyond known sources of income.

Taking notice of the matter, Inspector General Jails Punjab ordered an inquiry into the matter.

According to Khan, the watch was gifted to him by his father and he held jail administration responsible for the loss to him, while the jail administration rejecting the allegations, held PTI leader for responsible for his own loss.

It may be noted that according to the jail manual, a prisoner cannot keep expensive things with him.

Earlier today, an accountability court had extended judicial remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Aleem Khan until May 13 in the offshore companies and assets beyond means case.

According to NAB, Aleem being the Secretary of Parkview Cooperative Housing Society, Member of the Provincial Assembly of Punjab and Minister for Information Technology held public office and during the period was involved in acts of corruption and corrupt practices by way of accumulating assets beyond known sources of income within Pakistan and outside.
