All facilities provided in IDPs' camps, claims Abdul Qadir Baloch

ISLAMABAD: State Minister on Border Affairs, Abdul Qadir Baloch has said that the North Waziristan Operation was initiated after due consultation with political parties, while the Government has provided all the facilities in IDPs’ camps including drinking water and electricity – ARY News reports.

Addressing a press conference with respect to North Waziristan IDPs, Abdul Qadir Baloch said that each family is being paid Rs 12000, while water, electricity and medical facilities have also been provided in refugees’ camps.

He told that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced 2.5 crore USD aid for the internally displaced persons (IDPs), whereas the Government of Punjab has formed a fund for North Waziristan refugees, worth of Rs 50 crore.

Baloch added that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will himself visit IDPs camps in Bannu soon.

The Minister of State told that members of Punjab Cabinet and PMLN MPAs will deposit their one month’s salaries in the IDPs Fund, while all the Government employees will submit their one-day salary in PM Relief Fund.

He continued further saying that so far FATA Disaster Management Authority (FDMA) has been handed over 1.5 billion USD, for the accommodation of refugees.

Abdul Qadir Baloch elaborated that the Government seeks early completion of operation against terrorists and vowed that the IDPs will be provided all possible facilities.

Moreover, he said that the Pakistan Army has rendered everlasting sacrifices for the nation and the country, which cannot be counted.
