Amateur truck driver crushes old man to death in Karachi

KARACHI: An amateur driver on Wednesday crushed an old man to death and left several others injured in Karachi, ARY News reported.

The truck went out of control of the driver of a soft drink company when he tried to start it. ARY News has obtained the video in which one can see the truck running over people and vehicles in Paposh Nagar, Nazimabad.

Many cars and motorcycles have been destroyed and a 65-year-old man passed away in the incident.

Police have arrested the driver.

On April 13, two students of grade 10th had passed away in a road mishap while they were returning home on a bike after appearing in matric exams.

The incident took place near Memon Goth area. Two other young boys got badly injured in the accident.

Police had said the motorcycle slipped owing to overspeeding.

The dead included Haroon and Kashif, both of them 16-year-old. While the injured included Naeem Brohi and Kher Bakhsh.

The injured were shifted to hospital for medical treatment.

On March 31, at least eight people were killed in separate road accidents in Dadu and Karachi.

Four people were killed and 11 others critically injured when a passenger coach had collided with a car on Indus Highway near Dadu.
