Army chief prays for speedy recovery of Kulsoom Nawaz

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has wished speedy recovery to Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, wife of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, who is currently under treatment at a hospital in London.

The army chief sent the ailing lady a bouquet of flowers as well. He said, “We are praying for your quick recovery and send well wishes your way.”

“Wish you become healthy again by the grace of Allah,” said the COAS.

Kulsoom Nawaz was shifted to the intensive care unit of the London hospital after her health deteriorated on June 14.

Nawaz Sharif, a day ago, termed Begum Kulsoom Nawaz’s condition as serious and said she has not regained consciousness since he arrived in London.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday in the British capital, further said he was informed of Begum Kulsoom’s condition after his arrival and asked the nation to pray for her well-being.

The former premier said he wishes to spend as much time as possible with his ailing wife.
