Army chief vows to bring perpetrators of Lahore blast to justice


Chairing a high level secuirty meeting in Rawalpindi, he said these savage inhumans will not be allowed to overrun people’s life and liberty.

The Army Chief directed concerned commanders and intelligence agencies to launch operations at the earliest to find linkages and perpetrators of the attack.

The meeting which was attended among others by DG ISI and DG Military Intelligence evaluated initial information about the Lahore incident.

At least 71 people were killed and hundreds injured, many of them children, when a suicide bomber blew himself up in a crowded Gulshan-e-Iqbal park of Lahore.

Explosives packed with ball bearings ripped through crowds near a children’s play area in the park , leaving dozens dead.
