Arshad Khan will be acting as Pakistan's newest celebrity signs film

KARACHI: Have you heard the news? After grabbing his first modelling contract, walking a ramp and smiling in a music video, Pakistan’s famed Chaiwala will now be acting in a film.
Arshad Khan recently revealed the very news through his official Instagram page that he will be making an acting debut in a film titled ‘Kabeer’.
The RM Film, by Meesam Ali and Rachel Khan featuring Chaiwala, will hit the local cinemas in 2017.
Arshad Khan became an overnight sensation when a photographer’s Instagram shot of him working at his tea stall was shared tens of thousands of times.
Not very long ago, the 18-year-old tea vendor who became Pakistan’s hottest new celebrity when his photo went viral on the Internet had said he got no plans for an acting career – though he was flattered by the attention.
“I have not thought about (acting in) movies, because it’s not been done by anyone in our family,” Khan had said.
Regarding acting in films, he had said that “is not honourable work. Pashtuns always look for work that is honourable…If I can find some clean, honourable work, I will certainly do it.”
Despite his earlier lack of interest in acting, Khan is now considering acting in a film. Hmm…what should we call this now? A change of mind!
Looks like Arshad Khan is just going with the flow and enjoying his new moments of sudden fame.
