KARACHI: Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi on Sunday said former president Asif Zardari was himself freaked out because of fear of accountability, ARY News reported.

Mocking at Zardari’s request seeking the opposition parties to bring resolution in the house to set the direction of the country right, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader said what resolution he will bring against the government who himself arrived at the National Assembly with the help of support.

He said the joint investigation report of the cases involving model Ayyan Ali and Uzair Baloch should be made public first.

The minister said the Pakistan Peoples Party leader’s statement on policy differences with former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had exposed the Murree Declaration.

According to the Murree Declaration the PPP government was supposed to reinstate the Supreme Court judges, which could never be materialised.

Ali Zaidi said prior to the elections leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz would claim to drag Zardari in the streets and now they had gagged on this subject.

Earlier, while terming the PTI government ‘incompetent’, Asif Zardari has urged the political parties to unite against the party’s policies.

“The country cannot be run by an incompetent government and the nation will have to set government’s direction right,” he said.
