At least seven killed, six injured in Haripur road accident

HARIPUR: In a tragic incident, at least seven people lost their lives in an early morning road accident when a passenger bus collided with a van, ARY News reported on Friday.

According to details, the road accident occurred in Haripur near Baldher when a speedy passenger bus collided with a van coming from the opposite direction.

At least seven persons were killed while six others were injured as a result of the deadly collision.

The dead also included women and children while five of the dead belonged to the same family, said official sources.

Police and rescue officials reached the accident and shifted the injured and dead to Ayub Medical Complex Abbottabad where, as per doctors, two of the injured were said to be in critical condition.

Meanwhile, police officials also took the driver of the ill-fated bus into their custody and have started an investigation into the incident.

In Dera Ismail Khan, father and son died after a fog-related road accident.
