CANBERRA: The Pakistan cricket team was hosted by Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull on New Year’s eve.
Captain Misbah-ul-Haq and Australian captain Steve Smith presented signed bats as souvenirs to the Prime Minister.

The national team is currently playing a three-match Test series in Australia which it has already lost by 2-0. Australia won the first Test in Brisbane by 39 runs, while Pakistan lost the second Test by an inning and 18 runs.
The third and final Test starts in Sydney on Tuesday. Misbah will captain the team but said that he is contemplating retirement. The team will travel to Sydney for a one-day preparation before the final match.
