PTI leader Awn Chaudhry appointed adviser to CM Punjab

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and PM Imran’s close aide Awn Chaudhry has been appointed adviser to Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar, ARY News reported on Wednesday.

According to a notification issued by Punjab government, Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar has appointed Awn Chaudhry, Abdul Haye Dasti, Faisal Hayat and Muhammad Hanif as his advisers.

Chaudhry, who is considered a close friend of PM Imran Khan, thanked the premier and the party for their “continued trust” in his abilities.

“I want to thank my Prime Minister Imran Khan and my party for their continued trust in me. My life and services are all devoted for Pakistan and I pledge to do my best in this new position with sincerity and honesty. Truly humbled and honoured by this appointment,” Chaudhry wrote on Twitter.

Back in August, ARY News had reported that Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to assign an important role to party leader and close aide Awn Chaudhry in Punjab government.
