Heart-warming: Baby hugs mother seconds after birth in viral video

A newborn baby was filmed ‘hugging’ her mother just seconds after being born in Brazil.

Little Agata Ribeiro Coêlho was introduced to her mother by doctors after being born. In a clip, which was filmed in Santa Monica hospital, Brazil, the child appears to kiss her mother’s cheek first before embracing her.

The baby then clings on as the medical team tend to newborn’s mum.

Brenda, an administrative assistant, said: ‘It was an incredible moment when my daughter hugged me for the first time.

‘The medical team were great and were all really surprised that she acted this way.
