BAHAWALPUR: A road accident Bahawalpur district claimed the lives of two college students, ARY News reported on Saturday.
According to details, a speeding car hit a motorcycle at Chishtian Road in Hasilpur leaving two students of Degree College dead on the spot.
The funeral prayers of the deceased students were held in the college. Family members, locals and large number of students were present on the occasion.
The relatives and locals protested against the incident by blocking the roads leading to Bahawalpur, Chishtian and Vehari. The protesters raised banners and chanted slogans against Police. They demanded arrest of the car driver involved in the hit and run incident.
The protest came to an end when local SHO assured the protesters that the culprit will be arrested.
