ISLAMABAD: Bahrain has appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for de-escalating tensions in the region, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain Shaikh Khalid Bin Ahmed Bin Mohamed Al-Khalifa called on Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi, today.
During the meeting, matters of bilateral interest including security situation in the region came under discussion, the ISPR added.
The visiting dignitary also pledged to keep working for better relations between the two brotherly countries.
The foreign minister of Bahrain is on a two-day visit to Pakistan on the invitation of Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

The visiting guest is also scheduled to hold meetings with President Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan during his stay in Pakistan.
The official, who arrived in the federal capital yesterday, signed several memorandum of understandings (MoUs) with Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi regarding promotion of bilateral trade and investment, avoidance of double taxation and prevention of tax evasion between both the countries.
The two leaders agreed for further enhancement of bilateral relations between the two countries.
