Balochistan govt spends Rs19bn on health facilities

QUETTA: Balochistan government was spending over Rs19 bn for provision of better health facilities to the patients in the province.

On the condition of anonymity, the official of the provincial health department said that that the government was providing  free medicines of hepatitis, tuberculosis, malaria and AIDS to the deserving people across the province.

He said that the government was establishing new state-of-the-art  hospitals and providing modern equipments to the public hospitals so as to provide best medical facilities to the patients.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan on March 29, had reiterated his resolve for development of Balochistan and said it’s prime responsibility of the state to provide protection, health, education and other basic facilities to its citizens.

“We are trying to establish more centres for training in Balochistan.”

This he had  stated while addressing a ceremony in Quetta, after performing groundbreaking of Balochistan Medical Complex and Quetta- Zhob (N-50 motorway), CPEC western alignment leading, here in Quetta.

The premier had  said he is happy to see Chief Minister Jam Kamal, who feels the pain of the people of Balochistan.
