Khyber Pakhtunkhwa urges federation to review its 'war on terror' policy

PESHAWAR: Advisor to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government on Information, Barrister Dr. Saif, on Wednesday, called on the federal government to review its policy regarding the war on terror.

In a statement, Barrister Saif emphasized that KP Chief Minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, is taking serious steps towards eliminating terrorism and ensuring peace and security. He highlighted that tribal jirgas (councils) had been convened at the Chief Minister’s House in this regard.

Barrister Saif further stated that the federal government should support Ali Amin Gandapur’s efforts in establishing peace and security. He accused the federal government of undermining the KP CM’s sincere initiatives for political reasons.

He strongly urged the federal government to revisit its policy on the war on terror, stressing that dialogue with Afghanistan is essential to effectively combat terrorism.
