KARACHI:Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has expressed disappointment at the verdict on the assassination of his mother and former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.

Bilawal, in a statement on micro-blogging website Twitter, said that the case decision is disappointing and unacceptable.

He said that release of terrorists is not only unjust but also dangerous. He further said that party will explore legal options.

His sister and Benazir’s younger daughter expressed similar views and said that they still await justice even after ten years.

She said that the abettors may be punished but those who are truly guilty of her mother’s murder roam free. She said that there will be no justice until former president and army chief Pervez Musharraf answers for his crimes.

An anti-terrorism court had acquitted five suspects in the murder case of Benazir Bhutto after nine year. The verdict did not say who was the assassin of Bhutto.

The court also sentenced two policemen for seventeen years, whereas Pervez Musharraf was declared an absconder and proclaimed offender in the case.

Her sister, Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, also expressed disappointment and said that it was shameful that policemen have been arrested but actual terrorists have been acquitted.

Benazir Bhutto was killed in a gun-and-bomb attack after addressing a rally at Liaquat Bagh in Rawalpindi on December 27, 2007.
